Zambia’s music industry is mourning alongside celebrated singer Chile One MrZambia following the passing of his father, Frank Chileshe.
According to reports, Mr. Chileshe passed away yesterday afternoon after a short illness. The heartbreaking news has since drawn emotional reactions from fans, fellow artists, and members of the entertainment industry.
The passing was officially confirmed by the Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) through a statement issued by spokesperson Edmond Mbanga Miti. In the statement, ZAM described the late Frank Chileshe as a supportive father who played an important role in the life and journey of Chile One MrZambia.
“It is with deep sorrow that the Zambia Association of Musicians announces the passing of Frank Chileshe, beloved father of Zambian artiste Obed Chileshe a.k.a Chile One MrZambia,” the statement read.
