A man accused of stealing unreleased music linked to global superstar Beyoncé has been sentenced to prison after breaking into a vehicle during the singer’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Atlanta. The case has attracted international attention due to claims that hard drives containing unreleased Beyoncé material were among the stolen items.
According to reports, 41-year-old Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including entering an automobile and criminal trespass. The judge sentenced him to: Two years in prison and three years probation.The sentencing reportedly took place in Atlanta, Georgia.
The incident happened on July 8, 2025, shortly before Beyoncé began a four-night run of performances during her Cowboy Carter tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Authorities say the targeted vehicle belonged to members of Beyoncé’s team, including choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.
Among the stolen items were reportedly: Two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, Luxury clothing, accessories and hard drives allegedly containing unreleased Beyoncé music
Investigators also stated that sensitive personal information connected to the singer may have been stored on the devices. Prosecutors reportedly used surveillance footage showing a red Hyundai linked to the suspect near the scene of the break-in.
Additional footage allegedly showed the suspect handling luggage believed to belong to Beyoncé’s team. Authorities also traced some stolen electronics using tracking technology. Despite the arrest and sentencing, reports indicate that the hard drives containing the unreleased material have still not been recovered.
The disappearance of the alleged files has fueled even more public curiosity online. As part of his sentence, Evans has reportedly been ordered to: Avoid the parking garage where the incident occurred He has been in custody since his arrest in August 2025.
