Petauke Event organizer Christabel has emerged victorious in a court case against popular musician Willz Nyopole, who was ordered to refund K8,000 after ditching a Petauke show. Christabel had booked Nyopole for a show 5 months ago, paying him K8,000 upfront. But the musician ghosted on the event, leaving Christabel and her guests high and dry .
Despite repeated attempts to get her money back, Nyopole refused to refund the money, stating that although he had arrived late in Patauke for the show due to poor roads and breakdowns, he had made an effort to travel to Petauke.
On April 5, 2026, Matero Local Court wasn’t having it, ruling in Christabel’s favor and ordering Nyopole to make monthly payments until the full amount is settled.
