Some pain cannot be explained — it can only be felt. For T-Sean, it became music.
Zambian artist T-Sean has opened his heart with the release of “Woke Up Missing You,” a deeply personal EP dedicated to his late wife, Sharai, who passed away on July 27, 2026.
This is not simply another music project. It is T-Sean putting grief, memories and love into songs after losing the woman he describes as a part of himself. The artist says the EP was never planned as a polished project. Many of its lyrics began as late-night notes on his phone, while some were WhatsApp statuses he shared when the grief became too heavy to carry alone.
He eventually put music behind those thoughts because, in his own words, he did not know how else to hold them.
Reflecting on Sharai’s passing, T-Sean writes: “I lost a part of myself the day I lost you, and there are no words that can truly capture this kind of pain.” Yet beneath the heartbreak is faith. T-Sean says he continues to trust God’s plans and His timing, even when he does not understand them.
On Sharai’s heavenly birthday, he dedicates the project to her with a final message: “I love you forever, and this EP is for you.” “Woke Up Missing You” is T-Sean’s tribute to a love that continues beyond loss — raw, personal and deeply heartfelt.
Rest well, Sharai. 🕊️
