“My Eagle Is Not Broke” – Yo Maps Responds to Fan, Chile One Fires Back with Oreos Biscuits

Zambian music heavyweights Yo Maps and Chile One Mr Zambia appear to be reigniting their long-rumored rivalry, and this time, the drama is playing out through cryptic social media posts, emojis, and even biscuits.

It all started when a fan questioned Yo Maps’ use of the eagle 🦅 emoji, implying that he may have copied the idea from Chile One, whose recent album is titled Eagle One. The fan wrote:

“I wonder why you’re using utuma eagle, I bet you’ve been inspired by Eagle One from the other camp.” In response, Yo Maps didn’t hold back: “My eagle is not broke.” A clear shot implying superiority financially or otherwise.

Not long after, Chile One clapped back, posting a video of himself enjoying Oreo biscuits while laughing and saying in Bemba:“Tulasekesha utu, nanaka nato uto, ndefwyako tumbi.”
(Translation: “They make me laugh, I’m tired of this, I need something else.”)

This video fueled further speculation because of the “Oreos” reference a subtle nod to a lyric from Chile One’s song Tekantemba, featuring T-Sean and Bow Chase, off his Eagle One album. In it, Chile One raps: “Ndabalya nga fi Oreos (Olio’s).” Meaning: “I eat them like Oreos.”

Fans quickly connected the dots, interpreting this as a subliminal diss aimed at Yo Maps, with “Oreos” being symbolic of Yo Maps’ camp or branding style a term often used by diehard supporters to draw comparisons.

As social media lights up with speculation, neither artist has officially confirmed a beef. But with emojis, biscuits, and bars flying, one thing is clear: the Zambian music rivalry just got tastier.
