Promising young artist, Molto, releases his debut EP – Lizu Langa. On this wildly imaginative lyrical debut project Molto once and for all establishes what sets him apart from every other rapper.
Molto is a Zambian Christian Hip-Hop artist based in Lusaka. His upbringing was one of musicality. He enjoyed listening to music and would often be caught by family members lip-syncing to the songs he listened to. It was through this that his passion for music developed and he began composing his own music and eventually released his debut single in 2015 titled “Kodi Mumadziwa.” He got some traction in 2019 after featuring on track 4 of Geo’s “Before I Begin” album on the song “Switch Up”. In the same year, Molto’s single “Boss” topped the charts on Christian Voice PowerJams as the 13th most requested for song for 2019. Molto likes to refer to his sound as “Traditional Hip-Hop” in which he combines his native Chewa flow with modern but Afrocentric Hip-Hop beats. Molto is a member of “The Family” a music initiative under Xplode+ alongside artists like Destro, TCM Green, Mambwe Tha Genius, Nkumbu, Umusepela Crown, Danny TSG Humayne and Peter Mondoba. He is a dedicated Christian and hopes to impact and transform his generation with the word of God.
