From Mental Struggles to Marriage: Chile One Shares His 2025 Journey

Zambian singer Chile One has opened up about a year that tested him in ways he never imagined. While the public saw his success, he reveals that 2025 brought mental and emotional struggles, moments of personal shame, and challenges that nearly pushed him to quit music.

Describing the past year as “50/50,” Chile One explained that he won and lost in equal measure, navigating both career milestones and personal battles. In a Facebook live video, he shared how he endured mental torture, survived death scares, and struggled with moments of isolation, all while maintaining his public image.

“I reached a time whereby I almost gave up everything, my career and whatever. You know, mental torture is there; people go through a lot,” he said.

Despite the hardships, Chile One credits God with his survival and success. He revealed that divine guidance transformed his shame into confidence, removed negative influences from his life, and brought love and companionship through his wife and partner.

“When I felt alone, He gave me a beautiful wife and partner. Musically, He showed mercy; spiritually, He showed love; and physically, He gave me a second chance,” he wrote. Chile One described himself as a child of miracles, sharing how his mother prayed for him from birth, and how faith has been central to his journey from Chililabombwe to national stardom.

“God has always been on my side from the time I just started till now… no matter how much people fight me, I realise to say that I am God’s child; God loves me,” he said.

Chile One’s new single, Yahweh, featuring his wife, is inspired by his recent experiences and highlights his spiritual growth, personal resilience, and appreciation for love. He emphasizes that the music video is not a stunt—it reflects real life events and his genuine marriage.

“I just want to confirm, I have seen people here saying that the music video was a stunt. No, it wasn’t. I’m married, I have a wife… That was Chilanga Mulilo; it’s not AI. I’m now a married man,” he said.

The song serves as a message of hope to fans, encouraging others to trust in divine timing and second chances, even in the face of personal and professional adversity. “You can also start again… He’s a God of Second Chances,” Chile One said.
