Yo Maps has once again made his presence felt on the Zambian music awards scene after landing multiple nominations at the 8th Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards 2026.
The nominations see the award-winning singer and songwriter represented across a wide range of categories, from major song and album honours to collaboration, international achievement and humanitarian recognition.
Several of the nominations are tied to records that have kept Yo Maps at the centre of Zambia’s contemporary music conversation. His songs “It’s Over,” “Chafina” and “Hello,” as well as collaborations including “Aye,” “It’s Over” featuring Makhadzi and “Weka” with Bomb$hell, appear across the various categories. His album “Vibes on Vibes” is also in contention for Album of the Year, adding another major nomination to his 2026 Kwacha Music Awards campaign.
The 8th Sun FM Kwacha Music Awards are scheduled for November 27, 2026, at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, with the ceremony operating under the theme “Empowering Talent, Building Legacy.” Public voting is currently open and is scheduled to run until November 13.
