Zambian music pioneers Wezi, Tio Nason, Sampa The Great and serial hit making record producer Ben Blazer have officially become the first Zambian artistes to nominated at Grammy awards after the album they featured on the Nominated. The Wezi featured on a Reggae album by Jamaican Star “Etana“ while Tio Nason, Sampa The Great and Ben Blazer featured on the legendary Aangeliquekidjo!
The album where Wezi featured on is called “Pamoja” and has been nominated in the Category for “Best Reggae Album“. The album also features the likes of Vybz Kartel, Damian Marley, Stonebwoy among others. In the category, Etana is up against the likes of Spice, Soja, Sean Paul, Jesse Royal whose albums also got nominated.
Mother Nature is the title give to the album which enlists of Tio Nason, Sampa The Great and Ben Blazer and it also features Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Mr Eazi, Salif Keita Official Fan Page, EarthGang, GhettoBoy, Blue Lab Beats, Shungudzo, Lionel Loueke, and Kel P! However the album is nominated under the category of Global Music Album.
