Kunda, a rising Afro Jazz, Afro pop and Afro folk artist, has released her first single of 2023, “Touch,” available now on all streaming platforms. The Valentines Day single is perfect for dedicating to and serenading your significant other.
“Touch” showcases Kunda’s emotive vocals and smooth R&B sound, paired with lyrics that explore the feeling of longing for physical and emotional intimacy. The single was written by Kunda and Sammy Masta and produced by Red Sea, and is the first taste of her sound.
“I wrote ‘Touch’ as a way to express the longing for physical and emotional touch that we all feel,” Kunda said. “I wanted to create a song that could be relatable to everyone, and that could also serve as a reminder of the importance of connection and intimacy in our lives.”
The accompanying music video, directed by up-and-coming director Vincent Mwenya of LimeLight Studios, features Kunda in a series of sensual and intimate scenes, highlighting the theme of the song.
