Through the emPawa Africa initiative by Mr Eazi, Zambian recording artiste – Chembomusic is one of the 100 selected artists, that have received $3000 each to create a music video.
Chembo Liandisha is a multi lingual and multi cultural soulful pop musician, Actor and Artist. She releases her music under the stage name ‘Chembomusic’ and has graced international stages such as Lake of Stars festival (Malawi), Barefeet Festival (Zambia) Oxjam (UK), Newport Festival (UK) etc. She has been playlisted on BBC Radio Wales (UK), Hot FM and Radio Phoenix FM (Zambia). In 2018 She played the role of Suwi in season one of hit TV show ZUBA which brought her acting abilities to the masses. Chembo has a Performing Arts Degree from the University of South Wales (UK).
2019 has seen the musician’s profile rise with being chosen as one of the Horizons Launchpad fund Awardees as selected by BBC and Arts Council of Wales. She has also be selected by international superstar Mr Eazi (UKTOP 40) as one of 100 young Africans to receive a fund for a music video. Chembomusic is currently working on her second body of work.
Her most recent singles are, “Iyelele Africa” and an acoustic soul track called ‘Feel the Pain’ Produced by Emmanuel Shambaka and written by chembomusic. Her songs are available to purchase on Mvesesani and for streaming on all online streaming platforms
