Danish-Zambian artist Kwamie Liv releases the visual to her new single, ‘Follow My Heart’, the second track to come from her forthcoming debut album ‘Lovers that Come and Go’, Liv utilises the soundscapes of contemporary pop but making them her own. The soft patter of the drums accompanies a minimalist synth line as Liv glides over the track, cooly intoning about calling a lover.
Kwamie has lived between Denmark, Zambia, Turkey, Sweden, South Africa, Kenya, Ireland and Bangladesh and it’s clear her songs and sound are imbued with those experiences. ‘Follow My Heart’ is a gorgeous addition to her growing collection of tunes: The track is an exciting taster for the forthcoming album, showing Liv retaining her effortless sensuality and cool, whilst continuing to grow in confidence.
