UPND Gifts Musician Cavman a Fully Furnished House in Ndola

The United Party for National Development (UPND) leadership on the Copperbelt, with the backing of President Hakainde Hichilema, has honoured musician Andrew Chisala, better known as Cavman, with a fully furnished house in Ndola.

The gesture comes as recognition of Cavman’s outstanding contribution to the party’s historic 2021 election victory, where he used his musical talent to rally support for the UPND cause.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, UPND Copperbelt chairperson Elisha Matambo praised Cavman for his resilience, bravery, and unwavering dedication to the party. He emphasized that Cavman’s recognition reflects the UPND’s commitment to appreciating loyal members who have played key roles in the party’s journey.

“We discovered Cavman way back when he was still a young man and supported him in his music. He stood firm in supporting President Hichilema through his music until we formed Government in 2021,” said Mr. Matambo.

He further noted that the initiative to reward Cavman was a brainchild of the UPND Copperbelt provincial management team, made possible with the support of President Hichilema himself.

The handover, he added, was not only a symbol of appreciation but also a clear message that the UPND values the sacrifices and contributions of its members.

This honour marks a milestone in Cavman’s career, highlighting how art and music can play an influential role in politics and community mobilization.
