Temwah’s career has since been growing over the years, as we have seen the artist pivoting and finding a new voice as an AfroPop and Jazz artist as she ventures into her newfound sound as an artist and presents herself to the world.
While being listed on other people’s projects and following the recent success of her single “Mvetsela” featuring Zeze Kingston, Temwah released the official music video for her single “Love Again” earlier in February in the post and wake of her new album that was soon to drop.
Born Temwa Gondwe, Temwah is a Lilongwe-based female AfroPop and Jazz singer, and songwriter.
Recognized for her enchanting and soulful vocals, Temwah began her career as an urban artist and soon found to be able to experiment with different genres and was soon recognized for her contributions to be able to be noticed as an AfroPop/Jazz artist. She has since shared the stage with some of Malawi’s top urban acts including Fredokiss, Eric Paliani, Gwamba, and Ethel Kamwendo Banda just to name a few.
Her music solely focuses on educating, informing as well as entertaining both the younger and older generation. Temwah wishes to inspire young girls to be ambitious and take initiative to reach their goals while following their close passions and in the light making a change and difference to the community.
She believes that with passion, people can affect the world in a major way towards independence and development by realizing that music can be used as a tool for social change.
