In this tough time in the world, economically, racially, emotionally especially with so many stories about mental health crises and people needing a ray of light at the end of their tunnels, “10 Kwacha” is a timely word of encouragement. Written to commemorate her grandmother, Scarlet collaborated with Micheal Phiri who penned the track, James Sakala and Lazarus “Lalo” Zulu on production. Benson Zulu of Line Media remains on the mixing and mastering end of the production team.
The chorus paraphrases conversations between the artist and her maternal grandmother who passed away on February 12th 2018.
10 Kwacha is a bright, sunny, positive and perfect way to end the second quarter of 2020.
Check out the track on all digital platforms and on all radio stations.
Enjoy and share.
