Sam Smith is without a doubt the biggest winner this year! The 22-year-old English singer took home 4 awards in total including for “Record of the Year,” “Song of the Year,” “Best New Artist” and “Bet Pop Vocal Album.” In the meantime, Beyonce and Pharrell Williams walked away with 3 statuettes each. As we already informed you, the greatest surprise was related to the “Album of the Year” category, where Beck came out on top, defeating the aforementioned three artists, as well as Ed Sheeran, in the run for the most prestigious among the Grammys. As for the rap categories, Eminem won for “Best Rap Album,” while Kendrick Lamar was given two awards for “i.” Contrary to all expectations, Iggy Azalea ended up empty-handed.
