P Jay may be gone but not forgotten, Ruff Kid chooses to honor his late friend Brian Cheengwa who was popularly known as P-Jay by announcing the dropping of a joint album.
The early hours of Sunday 21st December 2014 shed a dark cloud on the Zambian music industry as it lost an artist who was described as the most featured artiste with a vocal ability to turn almost every song into a hit. Lucky where those who had already been graced with the opportunity to work with him and unfortunate for everyone who did not.
Ruff Kid is no stranger to sharing the studio with the late legend as the two had collaborated on hits such as ‘Inkonto’, ‘Nikamisiya’ and many more.
The rapper has revealed that before the end of this year an album is expected that he and the late P-jay had worked on, before the singers death.
Fans have welcomed the idea of this joint album with open arms while many may be driven to tears as memories will definitely be evoked but we can’t doubt how this will be a timeless addition to our record list. Big ups to Ruff Kid for this move and rest in peace to the great P-jay.
