Budding artist Johnson Zulu aka Professor is working on his first album dubbed “Changa Ni Changa“inspired by late vocalist P’Jay.
Zulu who is also a sign-writer under the Visual Arts Council and a leader of Team Changa Ni Changa,a youth-based organisation aimed at promoting talent and enterpreneurship,says his debut album will feature music that is meant to motivate and councel young people.
He says it will also feature collaborations with upcoming singers and already-known artists like late P’Jay,Jae Cash,Rich Bizzy,Tommy Dee,Jonny Cee,Saty K,Yellowman,Alpha Romeo and GYK among others.
“My album will be called Changa Ni Changa,a title-track that was inspired by the late P’Jay.It is for this reason that i want to do a full album and pay tribute to him.Apart from P’Jay,the album also features Jae Cash and will include a remix of Changa Ni Changa the all stars version.”Says the singer who finds local hip hop icon Macky2 as his biggest inspiration.
Expected to be released under Game On Xclusive Record Label,Zulu’s Changa Ni Changa album is mainly being produced by Ken Dee alongside other renowned local producers.
“It is an album that will introduce my different styles on the music scene and i hope to help bring out new talent from my crew,”says Zulu who juggles his life between sign-writing,driving,music and formal employment.
