Pompi Confiscates Pirated CDs Of His New Album, Become.

Pompi has joined ZAM COPS in the fight against piracy. To fuel the movement against music piracy, the artist confiscated copies of his latest album CDs from the the streets of Lusaka today 3rd April, 2018.

Pompi is one of the many biggest names who want to make it harder to pirate music on the streets and online. In many gatherings, him and several other musicians have repeatedly asked the government to take action and make “drastic reforms” to the law that governs intellectual property.

Illegal copies can become global property in minutes straining the efforts of the musicians with the fact that they are not able to generate income or profits from those copies. Musicians spend a lot of money on music production, marketing, CD printing e.t.c which they cant be able to recover when their music doesn’t convert into income despite being popular due to pirated copies being available on the market.
