Permission to construct a fueling station at the Lusaka Play House premises has been revoked

Due to public interest surrounding the matter. The Lusaka City council has therefore written a letter to Hass Petroleum Zambia Limited saying permission to construct a fueling station at Lusaka play House has been revoked.

Recently Zambian artists such as PilAto, Holstar, Penjani, Slapdee among others petitioned against the construction of a fueling station at the Lusaka play House, and Lusaka City Council has answered the call.

Pilato wrote a statement which reads, “Lusaka City Council please be reminded that we will not allow your myopic agenda to undermine the arts in this country. We only have one play house in Lusaka… but we have a thousands of filling stations. We will not allow anyone to take it away from us.”
He further stipulates
, ”The silly Billboard you put up after the deadline was past did not serve it’s purpose.”
