The only life improving advise to be given to a believer in Christ who is playing sports or is a fan of sports is to not allow sports to become an idol. Never allow sports to become more important to you than your relationship with God. It is fine to be interested in sports, to be knowledgeable about sports, to be a fan of a certain team. Playing sports to the glory of God must be your priority. And that means every time you step onto the field, your priority will be to worship God and become more Christlike (Pala Pala Yesu).”
