Lova Bernard (real name EKPE BERNARD) hails from Abia State, Eastern Nigeria and is a graduate of the University of Lagos. He started his music career in high school days when he used to rap at gigs back in the days. In 1999, he and 2 other friends (Majeed and Sil) started the defunct group “Deadly Onda Ground” but they all went their separate ways in 2008 to pursue their solo careers.
In 2004, LOVA BERNARD’s solo debut single titled “BLACK MUSIC” hit the airwaves and was one of the first rap video ever to be played on Music Africa. With a mix of rapping and Singing,his other very popular single is “THANK GOD ITS FRIDAY”which was massively played in the clubs.
While pushing gradually up the ladder, he had been privileged to work with top Nigerian stars like 2face idibia,Sound Sultan, W4 , Black Face, to mention a few.
