The cream of Zambian music, Mampi, Roberto and Cleo Ice Queen have been nominated in this year’s African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in the categories; Best Male Southern Africa – Roberto, Best Female Southern Africa – Mampi and Cleo Ice Queen while Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Wizkid and Rema lead the nominations.
The 5th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards and Music Festival (AFRIMMA 2019) is set to be another one for the history books.
AFRIMMA 2018 was an enormous success with artists like Fally Ipupa, Yemi Alade, AfroB, Toofan, Didi Emah, C4 Pedro, Harmonize , Erykah Badu amongst others and we have resolved to give you a better show this year at the biggest African Music Awards in Diaspora. Crossing boundaries with music is the mantra that gave birth to this award show and incorporating the music festival gives fans and audience a chance to enjoy their favorite acts the more with longer performance sets as seen at AFRIMMA 2018. The venue for the festival celebrating of African music this year remains the prestigious The Bomb Factory, Dallas, a high profile venue that has hosted some of the finest and upscale events in Dallas, Texas.
The vision is alive and international success is at the behest of our talents from Tanzania, South Africa, Egypt, Congo, Senegal, Zambia, Ghana, Togo, Algeria, Uganda, Kenya, Botswana and all parts of Africa. Africa was created to make this a reality and to document this historic movement. The story would be told to generations to come. Africa music is alive and African music is life.
