Mag 44 explains why Mr. Mando Album has so many secular artists

WHY DOES THE MR MANDO ALBUM HAVE SO MANY SECULAR ARTISTS?

One of my close friends asked me this question the other day and honestly, that was the first time I was thinking about it 😀. For the sake of anyone who may have the same question, here’s why.
Firstly, I have a relationship with all the artists on the album. I have either shared the stage with them, worked with them on cause related projects, and some are actual family. They don’t all do gospel music, but they are all Christian and even if they were not, these artists are some of the most kind, generous, loving and helpful people I know (Even way more than some of you staunch believers 😀).
Secondly, collaborations help reach larger audiences. I can speak to people who would have never listened to me in the first place. The gospel can’t spread if I only preach to the choir (although the choir needs to be preached to aswell 😉)
A few things to consider

  1. Artists, fans, listeners, Christians and non Christians are all people who are called to love. Our job is to all figure out the best way to love
  2. Good deeds don’t mean salvation. However, I think it’s important to see the good and be inspired by it.

Hope that helps, please feel free to share your thoughts.
