Nchanga Constituency aspiring Member of Parliament, Mulaza Kaira, has taken a significant step in supporting both the spiritual and infrastructural development of his community. Kaira has officially committed to the construction of a long-awaited baptism pool at Kabundi United Church of Zambia (UCZ), a project valued at K32,000.
To kickstart the initiative, Mr. Kaira made an initial deposit of K15,000, ensuring that construction works begin immediately.
In his remarks, Mr. Kaira emphasized his commitment to uplifting community values and promoting spiritual growth, stressing that his contributions are aimed at creating a lasting impact in the lives of the people. He pledged continued support for the church’s mission and called for unity among residents.
The church has warmly welcomed the gesture. Reverend Milner Kangende, of Kabundi UCZ, expressed his gratitude, noting that the donation comes at a critical time the baptism pool construction had stalled for over two years due to lack of funding.
“This is more than a donation it’s a revival of hope. Mr. Kaira’s support will bring us closer to completing this vital spiritual facility,” said Reverend Kangende.
He further encouraged both Mr. Kaira and the congregation to remain grounded and to always remember their roots, highlighting the importance of community-driven development and faithful service.
This development marks yet another example of how faith, leadership, and community action can come together for a common cause.
