“Olijaba” by sensational Zambia artists Macky2 has been exclusive on boomplay since its release on 5th June. It is vivid that Macky 2 wanted the local fans to digest the masterpiece first before he could feed it to fans from other countries who are unable to access boomplay.
One month down the line, King Buga has decided to put his album “Olijaba” on Spotify. According to Macky 2 this his last studio album. Putting it on Streaming platform like Spotify will surely penetrate the international market.
Since the release of this album on Boomplay last month, the number of streams has been insanely amazing. The project had over 1 million streams on the platform in just 24 hours becoming the fastest Zambian album to hit this milestone on Boomplay. 6 days later the album had over 3 million streams and it showed no signs of slowing down. Now the “Olijaba” has over 6 million streams on boomplay.
We hope Spotify will bring more numbers of streams as compared to Boomplay.
