Established in 2017 by Sun FM Zambia, the awards aim to recognize and promote originality and excellence, focusing on the quality of music productions that dominate radio airwaves.
Sun FM, a premium Ndola-based radio station, proudly serves as the title sponsor of this flagship annual event. With its emphasis on encouraging musical excellence, the Kwacha Music Awards have grown to become a prominent platform for celebrating artists who push boundaries and elevate the Zambian music scene. This year’s awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 2, 2024, at Lusaka Music Club.
