Fresh off the success of his “This Is Destiny EP,” Zambian rap virtuoso Jay Lima has released the visuals for Iyi Ni Destiny (translated as This Is Destiny), the project’s explosive opening track.
Produced by Swagger Swagger, the song combines thunderous basslines and hypnotic traditional chants, with Lima delivering razor-sharp bars about embracing fate and overcoming adversity.
Directed by Ex Boyfriend, the video amplifies the track’s urgency, weaving gritty street scenes with symbolic imagery of triumph. As the flagship single of the EP, Iyi Ni Destiny solidifies Jay Lima’s role as a torchbearer for Zambia’s hip-hop evolution.
