Our very own Zambian artist based in Australia, Sampa the Great has received a nomination in the category of ‘The Best International Flow‘ at the 18th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards. She shares this category with South African heavyweights K.O and the late AKA, Nigeria’s Burna Boy, the UK’s J Hun, and Ghana’s Black Sheriff.
For those unfamiliar with the International Flow category, it celebrates Hip-Hop artists from countries outside the USA. This explains the presence of artists not only from Africa but also from the United Kingdom, France, and Brazil in the same category.
On a local level, Sampa the Great has also earned a nomination for ‘Best International Achievement‘ at this year’s Kwacha Music Awards.
