Lusaka based record label Retunes Music Group, which is a division under Retunes, has just inked a three-album deal with music sensation Esther Chungu. As at 17th July, 2018 Esther Chungu re-signed with Retunes. Retunes CEO, Steven Mwale, mentioned the re-sign and that Esther Chungu will be executive producing her next project, he also hinted that Retunes Music Group is in final discussions with two new signings to the label who will be announced soon.
Esther Chungu is a singer-songwriter, whose music career begun in 2014 with the release of her debut single, Shooting Star. She released her debut album, Mubanga, in 2016 under Retunes Management and a co-sign from Brave Only Music to an amazing and overwhelming reception. Her album was released with hit singles like Runaway Child and Jehovah. Her debut album saw her work under the direction of the amazing producer Magnus “Mag44” Mando and music executive Steven Mwale. Esther’s career has seen her grace stages like the Pamoja Festival in Burundi, Day Of Thunder Music Festival in Zambia, Zambia Music Awards 2016, and is set to perform alongside American Rn’B legends Brian McKnight and Joe at this year’s Stanbic Music Festival. She has also shared the stage as a headlining artist alongside great artists like Donnie McClurkin from the United States of America, Khaya Mthethwa of South Africa, Pompi, Mag44, Chileshe Bwalya and Ephraim from Zambia.
