With her highly anticipated and executively produced debut album, Old Heart set to be released on 4th June, Emaé will be released her first single, ‘Away From Here’ on 30th April. A down-tempo pop track with soulful undertones and electronic instrumentals, Emaé’s new single, ‘Away From Here’ showcases the singer’s undeniably smooth vocals as she glides effortlessly from note to note.
‘Away From Here’ marks a shift in Emaé’s sound—the moving away from acoustic while remaining true to form. Emaé’s fans can expect an exciting mix of her honest, life-weathered songwriting and roaming melodies paired with a tasteful fusing of electronic instrumentation in her debut album Old Heart.
Speaking on her upcoming single, Emaé reveals, “For me, ‘Away From Here’ is a reminder to keep on keeping on. It was one of my favorite songs to record on the album because for the longest time, we struggled on the production. It wasn’t right. Then one night it all just fell into place and felt perfect. And that’s what the song is about—being on that road and staying on it till you find what you’re looking for because you know it’s out there.”
