Cinori Xo breaks silence on Mutale Mwanza’s viral moment!

Zambian rapper Cinori Xo has finally broken his silence on his much-publicized date with media personality Mutale Mwanza, revealing shocking behind-the-scenes details of what really went down. Speaking to Simon Mwewa Lane TV (SML TV), the rapper shared his heartbreak, financial struggles, and undying love for Mutale Mwanza despite the overwhelming odds.

It all began in August 2021, when Cinori Xo boldly posted a date request on Facebook, hoping to take Mutale Mwanza out. The post quickly caught the attention of social media users and, to his surprise, Mutale agreed to the date.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Mutale Mwanza failed to show up on the planned day and stopped responding to his calls. The situation was especially frustrating for Cinori Xo, who had taken a K5,000 loan to book a venue, decorate it, and hire a guitarist to impress his dream woman.

Determined to win Mutale’s heart, Cinori Xo refused to give up. Encouraged by close friends, he went live on Facebook, serenading Mutale with a guitarist in a desperate plea for her attention. As the video gained traction, one of his supporters suggested playing the sympathy card.

Cinori Xo recorded an emotional video with tears in his eyes, which went viral. The publicity worked. Mutale Mwanza reached out to check on him and finally agreed to go on an official date with him.

For Cinori, this was an opportunity to redeem himself. But with debts from the first failed date, he had to borrow even more money to book Latitude 15° for their highly anticipated evening. Even his then-label, Kalandanya Music Promotion, refused to fund the event, dismissing it as a wasteful venture.

During the date, the two exchanged gifts, and on the live stream, it appeared that Mutale Mwanza gifted him ZMW 40,000 alongside a bottle of Rémy Martin wine. However, Cinori Xo later revealed that the cash was never his.

“Off camera, Mutale told me: ‘I’m going to pretend to give you some cash, but the money isn’t mine—I have to return it.” When Simon Mwewa asked about his reaction, Cinori Xo admitted: “It’s Mutale Mwanza, man. I was starstruck. I just went along with it.” Despite this, Mutale did give him ZMW 10,000, which he used to pay off his debts.

In an unexpected move, Cinori Xo proposed to Mutale Mwanza during the date, but she bluntly turned him down, revealing that she was already in a relationship. Still, he refused to give up he promised to take her to Paris, a plan that never materialized due to financial constraints.

The rapper was so deeply infatuated that he even tattooed Mutale Mwanza’s name on his hand and dedicated a song to her titled “PARIS.” Despite the glaring age difference, Cinori Xo insists that his love for Mutale Mwanza was genuine. When Simon Mwewa asked what he hoped to achieve, he boldly responded:

“I was hoping she would give me a chance to get to know her, to start a relationship, have like two babies, and get married.” The young rapper even expressed his desire to become a stepfather to Mutale Mwanza’s son, Huncho, and give him siblings to play with.

To many, the entire saga seemed like a classic case of publicity-driven romance, but for Cinori Xo, it was real love. Despite the heartbreak, debt, and rejection, he has no regrets and still professes his love for Mutale Mwanza to this day.
