Returning to her musical roots recently, Ciara has been experimenting with non-“traditional” R&B-slash-pop sounds. Her first single, “Level Up” (and its Missy Elliott-guested remix), delved into the Jersey (or Baltimore?) club scene, and now its follow-up “Freak Me” heads to Africa.
Teaming with Nigerian star Tekno, Ci-Ci tries her hand at the Afro Pop style that has all but taken over music these days (or, at least in my headphones).
