Zambian rapper, Chanda Mbao has been receiving a lot of embrace following the release of his recent single, “The Bigger Wave” featuring Laylizzy from Mozambique, Da L.E.S from South Africa and Zambia’s impressive R&B star, Scott.
Chef 187 took it upon himself on Twitter to endorse the song and, beyond that, to ask his fans to digest it like every other Zambian song and it’s western familiarized sound that Zambian music fans don’t regularly vibe to when it’s coming from their own. The rapper believes that on the road to climbing international heights we need these vibes.
“I normally dont publicly speak on other pipo’s music but i think there is a serious need to support Chanda Mbao’s latest offering THE BIGGER WAVE, and just embrace it as our own (like a zambian song). I think it can get us to where we desperately need to be.” – Chef 197

On top of that, many fans and fellow artists such as Thugga, KB, F Jay and legendary Zambian singer, Izrael have continued to compliment the song and highlight it’s relevance to the Zambian music scene and Africa as a whole.
