Scarlett releases the third in a short quick burst of singles from her forthcoming album, this time featuring gospel rapper and producer, Mag44 on the soulful, panoramic track, “Ni Imwe.”
“My mother asked me to write a praise song for this project. She insisted that I should have one song that glorifies God. At the time we started the project, I had no idea how this would fit but I knew I wanted to do one song with Magnus. We agreed to write a song that felt like we were flattering God and in the end, even went as far as adding a Lamba tribute to my grandmother in the bridge.”
“Ni Imwe” is a soothing mix of English and Bemba lyrics sitting on a mellow hip-hop beat, peppered with claps and ambient layered vocals and sound bites that came together to make a beautiful prayer come to life in song. Like the majority of her “Finding My Way” album, the track was produced by Mag44 and will be available on all streaming platforms and mvesesani.com on Friday 17th September.
This will be the last single out before the full album is released on the 1st of October 2021.
