Born in the 60s, Wellington Chisanga Simpelwe better known by his stage name as C.S Wellington is a veteran Zambian Folk Musician and Guitarist who has performed alongside Ackim Simukonda and Lazarous Tembo back in the 80s at the same time he worked for Zambia National Commercial Bank.
Back then, Music for him was just a hobby until the time he got very sick to an extent that he even lost his sight, while recovering C.S Wellington decided to re-launch his music career and Kumwitu Akutali is a single off his latest album called “Purpose To Live On”.
This is a lamenting song which talks about where he belongs (his village) and telling the people there that he belongs to them despite being a town mouse. It was produced by the late, Nedson Siame and Chishimba Mulenga at Mission Press Studios. His aim is to take traditional or cultural music to the international scene.
