Fresh off SMACE (St. Mary’s College Of Education) poetry, Annacolia Vincent’s comes through with a Spoken Word Poetry titled “I Have A Dream” featuring Nenorah.
“Girls have dropped out of school, and become mothers at a very tender and physiologically, unfit ages. Once parents and family members agree to and accept the bride price from a man, there is no space for negotiation. The decision has been made and the girl must accept it or face her family-which in most cases are a bitter experience. Should this continue? If our well-being is important to our parents, shouldn’t they listen to us and our opinion about our lives? These questions have formed my poem.”
