Reflecting on the creation of the music video for his hit single “Mumanikonda,” featuring Ken Dumbo, Tbowy shared that he was determined to capture the essence of a true Zambian setting. “When I was developing the video concept, I wanted something that would truly depict a Zambian setup,” he explained. “Maybe I should get into movies next,” he added with a laugh.
Tbowy also praised Ken Dumbo’s portrayal of him in the video, noting that some viewers were initially confused by how much Ken Dumbo sounded like him. “People kept asking why he sounds just like me,” Tbowy said, clearly impressed. He expressed deep gratitude to the child actor and the family who participated in the video, acknowledging that they brought his vision to life in a way that exceeded his expectations.
Tbowy also credited the video director, Chichi Ice, for delivering a final product that went beyond his imagination. “Chichi Ice did exactly what I envisioned, and even surpassed it,” he noted.
