Zambia’s legendary rock band, WITCH, has released a new single featuring Sampa the Great titled “Avalanche of Love“. The song is part of their upcoming album “Zango” which is set to be released on June 2 under the Desert Daze Sound label.
The music video for “Avalanche of Love” was directed and edited by Gio Arlotta and Tim Spreng, and stars Negash Kaseka. The video was shot and colored by Tim Spreng, with additional VHS and Super8 photography by Gio Arlotta and Gabriela Maskrey. Produced by Pantheon Pictures, the song was mixed by Jacco Gardner, engineered by Jasper Geluk, and mastered by World of Paint Studios.
The band comprises of Jagari Chanda on vocals, Patrick Mwondela on keys, Jacco Gardner on bass, Nico Mauskoviç on drums and percussion, Stefan Lilov on guitar, and JJ Whitefield on guitar. The song features the vocals of Sampa the Great, an Australian-Zambian rapper, singer, and songwriter.
The single, “Avalanche of Love,” is a classic rock tune with a modern touch, showcasing the band’s evolution while retaining their signature sound. The lyrics speak about the powerful feeling of love and its ability to transform and sweep away all obstacles in its path.
