Over the last few years Zambian music has been growing consistently when it comes to quality, reach and popularity. One of the companies that has been helping to positively impact the Zambian music industry is the Ndola based Mvesesani.
Launched in December of 2016, Mvesesani began with the vision of making it easy and accessible for Zambian musicians to generate revenue from the sale of their music which historically has been nonexistent to difficult. In order to achieve this the company created a digital music store which allows fans to buy the music of their favourite artists using both bank cards and mobile money.
Three years on and going from strength to strength; Mvesesani have recently expanded their efforts to add more Zambian artists into their store in order to meet their goal of having every music release ever produced by Zambians available through Mvesesani. At the moment; Mvesesani boasts a catalog of music that includes the classics of 1970s Zamrock, hits from the 1990s as well as the early 2000s and some of the most recent releases from Zambia’s most influential artists.
